Concern Debates 2019-20: Call for schools and adjudicators

11 June, 2019

Concern Worldwide wants your students to get debating!  Help build confident, engaged citizens who can change the country, and the world, for the better. Registration for 2019-20 Concern Debates now open!

Early bird discount of £60 entry available until 30 Aug.  For more information please see:

You can’t have debates without adjudicators….

Concern is also looking for volunteer adjudicators to make these lively discussions possible. You don’t need any prior experience of formal debating, just an ability to listen closely and an ability to see arguments from multiple perspectives.

By volunteering as an adjudicator you will play a vital role in helping students enhance their skills in research, analytical thought and public speaking. It’s also an opportunity to reflect on and learn about the international development challenges that the competitors will be discussing.

Worried you don’t have the skills? The volunteer adjudicators will be given training and will be guided by the Concern Debates team every step of the way.

Do you have any questions about signing your school up or volunteering as an adjudicator? The Concern Debates team can be reached by emailing debatesni@concern.net or calling 028 9026 1524.
