European Day of Languages 26 September

Since 2001, European Day of Languages has been celebrated annually on 26th September.

An initiative of the Council of Europe, its objectives are to celebrate linguistic diversity in Europe and promote lifelong language learning.

Everyone from schools and universities through to workplaces and local communities are invited to participate in EDL celebrations.
