Have your say on future plans for global learning
13 October, 2017
The former Department for International Development (DFID), now Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office, funder of the Global Learning Programme and Connecting Classrooms, is currently consulting on future plans for supporting schools with global learning and international school partnerships from July 2018.
This consultation is a fantastic opportunity for teachers to help shape the future direction of government-supported global learning in the UK.
As part of the consultation, staff from DFID spent two days in Northern Ireland on 4 & 5 October 2017 visiting GLP Schools. During this time, they met with teachers from GLP Schools, members of the GLP Project Management Group and representatives from the NI Department of Education.
DFID is also inviting teachers and educators to take part in an online survey, which will remain open until 31 October 2017. All responses will be fed into consideration of a potential future programme design.
We'd encourage you to contribute by sharing ideas on how schools can be supported in equipping their pupils to make a positive contribution to our world.
Thanks to all who respond.
