Children in Crossfire specialize in teacher training and in supporting schools to embed a global dimension within their classrooms. We have extensive experience in using arts based methods and participatory activities to bring development education to the heart of the school community. We have developed the capacity building course TIDAL (Teachers in Development and Learning) to support teachers to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to use interactive methods for helping young people become compassionate change makers, working for a fairer and more caring world. Free TIDAL resources are available for teachers.

Children in Crossfire also deliver 2 core skills of Connecting Classrooms Programme. We support schools to nurture the Critical Thinking and Problem Solving skills and the Student Leadership and Personal Development of students through active learning methods and frameworks that can support the implementation of Connecting Classrooms throughout the whole school. Connecting Classrooms offers recognition for schools through the International Schools awards and provides opportunities for CPD, travel and international partnerships.
