Dromore High School – Global learning pod

Pods exist across Dromore High School, allowing teachers to come together to explore cross-curricular themes, such as literacy and numeracy. The global learning pod has been particularly successful. Unlike most pods, it includes several pupil members each year, who take an active role in driving global learning ideas forward. During the 2016/17 school year, for example, pupils organised activities around homelessness, including arranging a sponsored sleep out. They also contributed to the design and implementation of a dedicated Global Learning Week.
